I was very lucky to have found out about this little town a few weeks ago. I was reading a great book called “Day Trips from Calgary” by Bill Corbett. I picked it up used at a thrift shop and have read and dreamed about doing all of the trips – haha. It is a great resource for anyone living or visiting Calgary. The first one I wanted to try was east of the city towards Drumheller – famous for it’s dinosaur museum – and was described as a “semi” ghost town. I guess a few people still live there so it’s not a true ghost town.
The drive there was fantastic and filled with gorgeous vistas. Once we arrived, we set up by this grain elevator and I got this shot. The clouds were in the background, the stars had just appeared and a car zoomed by while I was taking this picture. I thought it came out really cool.
Thanks for stopping by!!
