Hazy Day in Calgary

My buddy Rob and I met up today as I as heading home from work. Sure glad we did as it turned out to be gorgeous! It was pretty chilly and the fog hung low over the city most of the day. The trees were all covered with hoar frost and lucky for us, the sun decided to make an appearance by the end of the afternoon. It was almost ethereal!

The circle of light you can see in the second picture was actually caused by the sun reflecting off the cold hazy fog and is not caused by the lens in any way.  It could be seen from all over the west side of the city.

  1. The second photo is very cool! I love how you decided to use a composition with the tree in the middle of this scene. The third shot is great too! (first one TOO 😉 )

It’s been raining here in The Netherlands for a week and a half now and it won’t stop soon either. I want snow and frost like that too!

    Thank you for sharing!

    Kind regards,
    Tieme
