Red Tail Hawk Screeching

This photo was taken on a gorgeous Saturday night around 8:00 northwest of Calgary. There was a poplar tree in a field and in that tree a nest with two adult Red Tailed Hawks. I got to within about a 100 metres of the tree and set up shop.  The adults were circling the sky, looking for a tasty morsel to feed the young that I knew must be in the nest. One adult would go on the hunt while the other stayed in the tree. It was a rare sight to see and I was lucky to have my camera with me.

Have a wonderful day!
